Welcome to beautiful South Bavaria! We are offering wonderful luxury residences (90-150sqm), located in a historical building dating back to 1900. The newly renovated Grafenburg ( that’s the name of the castle) sits at an elevated level in the Bavarian/Austrian border town of Oberaudorf. The residence offers unrestricted, spectacular views across the Inn Valley directly to the famous Austrian Alps, Zahmer and Wilder Kaiser mountains.
People holiday in Oberaudorf for the wonderful out door activities, fresh air and the perfect location for all sight-seeing.Grafenburg castle is in a very quiet location, directly across the road from one of those often talked about Bavarian mountain lakes but still in walking distance to the middle of the town. Oberaudorf offers a good variety of shops and amenities, from clothes stores to delicious cake shops. Driving, it only takes 3 minutes to reach the Inn valley autobahn entrance (A93). Munich, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Kitzbühel are only 80 kms (50 miles) away. The scenic town of Oberaudorf is situated in an attractive rural area at the beginning of the Inn valley, between the Wendelstein Mountain in Bavaria and the Kaiser Mountains in the Tyrolean Alps. Oberaudorf has something for everyone, wether touring around to all the different famous sites, for example: Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest, King Ludwig’s castles, hiking the endless mountain trails, swimming in the countless mountain lakes, golf, tennis, bike riding, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain climbing, cable water skiing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, just to name a few.The area is also bursting with cultural sites and activities eg: the famous Salzburg Music festival (a must), only one of many music festivals in the area, a visit to the many museums, art galleries, theatres, operas in the near by cities of Munich, Salzburg or Innsbruck. The Oktoberfest in Munich is not to be missed if you are here at the end of September early October. Munich is wonderful for shopping and a walk down Maximilianstrasse with its luxury shops is well worth it. Not to forget all the scenic castles easily reached from here, especially those built by the famous Bavarian King Ludwig, which include Neuschwanstein (the worlds most famous fairy tale castle) and Herrenchiemsee (designed after Versailles in France).Visitors of the Munich Trade Fair comfortably reach the fair grounds in 45 minutes on the highway (Autobahn).
